What's fair use?

What costs extra?

New pages, new features and redesigns, quoted first at the add-on prices above. Custom work beyond the menu is $150 an hour with a $500 minimum. Nothing is billed without your OK.

Payment

Prices are in US dollars, or Canadian dollars for clients in Canada. Taxes extra where they apply. Monthly plans bill on the same date each month.

About the money.

Do I need a sales call?

No. Build your price, send the brief, and we reply by email within one business day with the confirmed scope, agreement and a secure payment link. If you'd rather talk it through, you can always ask for a call.

When do I make the first payment?

After we've confirmed the scope and start date with you, and before design starts. On the monthly plan that's your first month, with no setup fee. If you pay for the build, the build fee is due before design and monthly care starts at launch.

Why is paying for the build cheaper?

The monthly plan spreads the build over 12 months so you can start without a lump sum, and that spreading costs a little more. Paying up front skips it. From month 13, both options cost the same care price.

What if I don't like the design?

You see your homepage direction first, with one round of changes included. If it isn't right and you say no before approving the rest of the build, we refund your first payment and cancel the project.

Is the estimate the final price?

It's built from the same prices we bill. If your brief needs something that isn't on the menu, we tell you and quote it before you pay anything.

What happens after the 12 months?

The site is yours. You stay on care at the lower care price, month to month, or take your design, content and code with you.

What counts as a page?

Anything that needs its own layout: a services page, a pricing page, a landing page for ads. Blog posts, projects and team members use one shared layout, so adding more of them later doesn't cost extra.
