FAQ

Everything you'd ask on a sales call.

Here are the answers, so you don't have to book one.

Why is there no setup fee?

Most website projects rebuild the same plumbing every time. Every Fast & Found site starts from a tested foundation for speed, SEO and tracking, so your money goes into design and into the pages that win you customers. You pay a fixed monthly price, and the first payment starts the work.

What makes this different from other website subscriptions?

Plenty of studios build beautiful, fast sites. We build them to convert, then show you how they perform. Every page has one goal, every form and call button is tracked before launch, and every month you get a report with your visitors, where they came from and how many became leads.

Why don't I just build a site myself?

You can, and AI site builders make it easier than ever to get something online. But a tool is only as good as the hands it's in. We use AI tools, guided by designers and marketers who have spent years learning what makes people call, book and buy, and how to get found on Google and AI search. That's the difference between a site that simply exists and one that's polished, fast, tracked and built around a clear business goal. Add up the hours you'd spend learning, building and fixing it yourself, and for most businesses the value of a site that does its job, plus the time you get back, far outweighs the monthly price.

Do I have to write the words myself?

Not unless you want to. Bring your own words, move them across from your current site, or have us write any page for $8/mo a page. When we write, we start with a content plan: your voice, keyword research and a brief for every page. Then each page gets a first draft built around one goal, with two rounds of changes. Whoever writes it, we edit every page so the headline is clear and the next step is obvious.

What's in the monthly lead report?

On every plan: visitors, where they came from, leads from forms and calls, your conversion rate, and speed and uptime. Grow adds call sources, top pages, the Google searches that found you, and a three-month trend. Scale adds leads by page and by ad campaign, plus a quarterly review call.

What if the report shows I'm not getting leads?

Then you'll know, which most business owners never do. The report points to the likely cause, either not enough visitors or visitors who don't reach out, and links to the fix if you want our help. There's never any pressure to buy.

How fast is "fast"?

Two ways. The build takes about seven business days for a standard site once your content is ready. The site itself is pre-built and served from a global edge network, and we guarantee a mobile performance score of 90 or higher on Google's Lighthouse test at launch. If we miss it, we fix it at no cost.

What does "AI-ready" mean?

More people now ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI answers who to hire. Every Fast & Found site is built so those tools can read and recommend you: AI crawlers are allowed in robots.txt, an llms.txt file gives them a plain summary of your business, structured data describes your services and location, and FAQ-style content answers the questions people actually ask. No one can guarantee an AI will mention you, but we make sure nothing on your site stands in the way.

Do I own the website?

Yes. On the monthly plan, the design, words, photos and code are yours after twelve payments. If you pay for the build up front, they're yours once it's paid. Your domain is registered in your name from day one either way.

Can I edit the site myself?

Yes, and the editor is included on every plan. Log in with your email to change text, photos, prices, hours and team members. The design is locked, so nothing you do can break the layout. Prefer not to? Send us a request and it's done within two business days.

What happens after the first 12 months?

Your plan drops to the lower care price and runs month to month. Care covers hosting, security, backups, monitoring, the lead report and up to two hours of edits each month. You can cancel with 30 days' notice.

What if I want to leave?

After the minimum term, tell us. Within 30 days you get the complete site: code in a GitHub repository you control, or a plain export you can host anywhere. There's no exit fee, and we'll help you move the domain and hosting.

What if I don't like the design?

You see a working homepage on the real site within two business days and get a round of changes. If you decide it's not right before you approve the direction, we refund your first month.

How do add-ons work?

On the monthly plan, add-ons are billed with your plan during the 12-month term. One-time items like extra pages stop billing after the term. Ongoing items like a store or priority edits continue at a lower care rate. If you pay for the build up front, add-ons are priced as a one-time cost instead.

What counts as "fair use" edits?

Changes to existing content: text, photos, prices, hours, staff, a new testimonial, a promo banner. New pages, new features and redesigns are quoted first at the add-on prices on this site, and nothing is billed without your OK.

Do you run Google Ads too?

Through our partner agency, 250 Digital, a Google Partner since 2017. Ads are quoted separately. Your Fast & Found site is ready for them from day one, with landing pages and conversion tracking already in place.

Can you rebuild my existing site?

Yes. We move your pages, keep your URLs or redirect them so you don't lose search rankings, and launch on your domain. Moving from WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or Shopify is routine.

What technology do you use?

Modern static sites built with Next.js, hosted on Vercel's global edge network, with content stored in plain files that your editor reads and writes. There are no plugins to update and no database to hack, and nothing slows it down.
